Hollywood es un distrito de la ciudad de Los Angeles (California) que constituye la identidad cultural de los Estados Unidos. El distrito se hizo famoso mundialmente por la concentración de empresas del ramo cinematográfico y por la influencia que ejerce en la cultura global. Los productores de cine se destacaron en Hollywood en búsqueda de luz natural, más barata y disponible.
Con el pasar de las décadas, Hollywood se hizo símbolo del poderoso y fantástico cine estadunidense, acogiendo premiações y abrigando homenajes públicos para los más destacados artistas de cine y musicales del mundo. El local también es famoso por el gran letrero llamado Señal de Hollywood y por la enorme concentración de personas ricas y famosas que viven en el distrito o distritos próximos.
